Mobile across Wollongong, the Illawarra, Shellharbour and South Sydney

DVA veterans

Fully funded exercise physiology for Gold and White Card holders, delivered at your home across the Illawarra. No cost to you, no clinic to travel to.

For veterans and serving members

Your card covers it, in full

If you hold a DVA Gold or White Card, exercise physiology is funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs. We bill the department directly, so there is no payment on the day, no gap and no claiming to chase afterwards.

A standard D904 referral covers up to twelve sessions over twelve months. We come to your home, which means no parking, no waiting room and no sitting in a clinic with strangers. The same clinician turns up every visit and knows your history.

  • No out of pocket cost for Gold and White Card holders
  • Billed direct to the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Seen at home, or by telehealth if you would rather
  • Written reports back to your GP at the end of each cycle
  • White Card holders covered for accepted conditions

Getting your referral

The only paperwork is a D904 allied health referral from your GP. If you are not sure what to ask for, say this:

I would like a D904 referral for exercise physiology with B2B Rehab, a mobile provider.

Send it to us however suits, by email or a photo from your phone. We check it, confirm your cover and book your first visit. If anything is missing we sort it out with the practice directly rather than sending you back and forth.

What we work on

The things veterans actually come to us for

Most of our DVA clients are carrying something that has been there a long time. The aim is not a perfect body, it is getting function and independence back.

Knees, backs and shoulders

Years of marching, packs, vehicles and hard landings leave a mark. We rebuild strength around the joints that took the load, at a pace that does not flare you up.

Persistent pain

A graded approach for pain that has been there for years. We rebuild confidence in movement and get you back to the things you have quietly stopped doing.

Heart, weight and diabetes

Exercise is frontline treatment for blood pressure, cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and weight. Prescribed properly, monitored, and adjusted as your numbers move.

Mental health and sleep

Structured exercise is one of the most reliable tools for mood, anxiety and sleep. No talking therapy, just a routine that gives you something to train for again.

Getting moving again

If it has been a long time, we start where you actually are. Short sessions, no gym, no audience, and progress you can measure week to week.

Staying deployable

Serving members training for assessments or returning from injury get strength work and load management built around the standard you have to meet.

Three steps

How to start with your DVA card

1

Ask your GP for a D904

Request an allied health referral for exercise physiology. Call us first if you want the wording, or we can speak with the practice for you.

2

Send it through

Email it, text a photo of it, or book online and mention that a referral is on the way. We confirm your entitlement with the department.

3

We come to you

Your first visit runs about an hour at home. Assessment, explanation and the start of your program, with nothing to pay on the day.

4

Twelve sessions, reviewed

We work through the referral cycle, retest along the way and report back to your doctor so the next referral is straightforward.

Client feedback

Satisfied patients

Elias is passionate and motivating and cares about his clients. He even noticed one session when I was having a bad day and stopped to talk to me, showing compassion for my issues.

Wylie, Illawarra

Eli was very comforting. He referred me on for diagnosis and then provided me with a home exercise program. Definitely recommend.

Sophie, South Sydney

Eli treated my 15 year old son for neck pain, and within three sessions he relieved my son's pain. He provided education around sports performance and weight training which was great.

Simone, Wollongong
Questions

Frequently asked questions

B2B Rehab is a mobile exercise physiology service, which means we visit you or your patient in the comfort of your own home or another location that suits you. Everything needed for the session travels with us.

Simply make a booking using the online booking system on this site and we will reach out to confirm the details. If you would rather train somewhere set up for it, our training base at Dandaloo Sports Ground, 336 Kanahooka Rd, Kanahooka NSW 2530 is available by appointment, and we also run appointments online by telehealth.

We travel across Wollongong, the Illawarra, Shellharbour and South Sydney. That includes Wollongong, Kanahooka, Dapto, Port Kembla, Figtree, Corrimal, Thirroul, Shellharbour, Kiama and the southern Sydney suburbs.

If you are just outside those areas, get in touch anyway. We will tell you honestly whether we can reach you, and telehealth appointments are available anywhere in Australia.

An accredited exercise physiologist is a university qualified allied health professional who uses clinical exercise to treat injury, chronic disease and disability. We are recognised by Medicare, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the NDIS, private health funds and workers compensation insurers.

Where a physiotherapist often focuses on hands on treatment in the early stage of an injury, exercise physiology focuses on the rebuilding phase: restoring strength, movement, capacity and confidence so the problem does not keep coming back. The two work well together, and we will refer you on when hands on treatment or imaging is the right next step.

It is not only for injury and illness either. The same testing and programming is used for performance: return to sport after an injury, strength and conditioning blocks, technique coaching and managing training load so you can push hard without breaking down again.

Gold and White Card holders are fully funded. Ask your GP for a D904 allied health referral naming exercise physiology, then send it through to us. We bill the Department of Veterans Affairs directly, so there is no payment, no gap and no claiming on your part.

A standard referral covers up to twelve sessions in twelve months, and we come to your home anywhere in the Illawarra, so there is no clinic to drive to and no waiting room. If you are not sure what to ask your doctor for, call us on 0424 234 282 and we will walk you through it.

We work with plan managed and self managed participants. Exercise physiology is usually funded under Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing, and it does not come out of your core supports.

You will get a service agreement up front, sessions at home or in the community rather than in a clinic, and progress reports written so they can be used at your plan review. We are happy to take referrals straight from support coordinators, plan managers and allied health teams.

Ready when you are
